Release • Replenish • Rise
Replenish Costa Rica is a 5-night, 6-day nature-led retreat designed to bring you back into rhythm — with yourself, with the land, and with the deeper wisdom your body holds. Held in the serene, jungle-wrapped hills above Uvita, this experience blends breathwork, elemental practices, cultural ceremony, and grounding time in nature to help you soften, release, and restore.
Across the week, we move through gentle mornings, breath journeys, waterfall and beach excursions, cacao and heart ceremony, a Temazcal experience with local Abuelas, community connection, organic meals, and spacious time for inner work. Every part of this retreat is crafted to support nervous-system repair, emotional unwinding, embodied clarity, and a return to nature’s pace.
You will be guided by a caring team, nourished by clean Costa Rican food, and held in a structured container that invites you to root into your body, reconnect with the elements, and rediscover the life-force beneath the noise of daily life.
Replenish is for anyone seeking deep rest, renewal, connection, and a soft expansion into what’s next.

Your Lead Facilitators & Ceremonial Guides
Melissa Terese
Keeper of Breath • Ceremonialist • Embodied Wisdom
Melissa is a ceremonialist, breath guide, and space holder devoted to helping others return to their true rhythm. Her path opened in 2014 through a profound personal healing that arrived through her own breath—an awakening that led her into shamanic work, embodied practice, and the creation of her signature modality,
Ceremonial Breath.
Her work blends breathwork, somatic awareness, elemental ritual, and grounded ceremonial leadership. Melissa teaches that breath is a bridge—softening the body, releasing old stories, and restoring connection to one’s inner source.
As the founder of Breathwork Worldwide and Circle of Sacred Breath, she has guided thousands through ceremony, integration, and deep inner transformation. She carries training in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, Shamanic Arts, Sound Healing, Neuroscience, and Entheogenic Facilitation.
Melissa is based in Powhatan, Virginia, where she continues to teach, guide, and build community while traveling to lead retreats and ceremonies around the world.
Megan Hanson
Ceremonialist • Somatic Guide • Keeper of Shadow & Light
Megan is a space holder, ceremonialist, and somatic guide devoted to helping others move through the layers that protect their heart. With a background rooted in clinical practice and two decades in mental health and education, she blends science with spirit, structure with intuition, and grounded presence with deep energetic work.
Her healing path opened the door to Reiki, YIN energy medicine, trauma-informed yoga, holistic hypnotherapy, sound healing, and breathwork — all woven through the lens of interpersonal neurobiology and somatic integration. Megan’s work invites people into a gentle yet powerful descent: a place where the nervous system softens, emotions unwind, and the body remembers its own wisdom.
Living in the jungles of Costa Rica, she works closely with the land, the elements, and the medicine of presence. Her facilitation carries equal parts compassion and clear direction, holding a safe structure for transformation, release, and reclamation.
Megan leads retreats, ceremonies, and community offerings that help others reconnect to their authentic rhythm, integrate their shadow and light, and remember their inherent sovereignty and belonging.

Marino Ballena National Park with Henry
A guided ocean-side adventure led by Henry, a Boruca community guide who carries the stories and ecological wisdom of his ancestral land. Walk the Whale Tail, explore tide pools, and experience the coastline through the eyes of one of Costa Rica’s most rooted Indigenous cultures. Formed by converging currents, the Whale Tail is one of the only sandbars on Earth shaped like a whale’s tail. Twice a day the tides reveal it in full, creating a rare chance to walk the spine of the sea, and the area is also one of the world’s most active humpback migration points.
Temazcal with the Quetzalcoatl
A traditional Mesoamerican sweat-lodge ceremony carried with reverence, prayer, and ancestral fire. Inside the womb-like heat of the temazcal, stones are awakened, songs are offered, and the body is invited to release what no longer belongs. Guided by wisdom keepers of the Quetzalcoatl lineage, this purification journey softens the mind, cleanses the emotional field, and reconnects you with the elements of earth, fire, water, and air.
A nourishing meal lovingly prepared by the Abuelas completes the experience — grounding, replenishing, and returning you to the world renewed.
Tica Massage — Soulful Costa Rican Bodywork
A 60-minute massage with local tica practitioners, offered with the warmth, intuition, and earth-connected touch Costa Rican healers are known for. This session invites your body to unwind, your breath to deepen, and your energy to settle into ease.
Rooted in the traditions of simple, heartfelt care, these massages support nervous system reset, emotional softening, and integration of the week’s inner work. A pause for nourishment, rest, and return.
Diamante Valley / Holos Waterfall Experience
A journey into one of Costa Rica’s most powerful natural sanctuaries — the waterfalls of the Diamante Valley. Here, cold, living water cascades over ancient stone, clearing the mind, grounding the body, and restoring your natural rhythm. This is where breath slows, presence deepens, and the jungle begins to speak. Expect a cleansing immersion, spacious time to explore, and a felt sense of renewal that stays with you long after you leave the water.
Cacao Ceremony with Blanca Margarita
A heart-opening immersion with ancestral Costa Rican cacao — guided through song, prayer, and the gentle medicine of this sacred plant. Blanca, a devoted cacao keeper from the Osa Peninsula, brings over twelve years of experience in cultivation and traditional preparation. Her ceremonies weave music, earth wisdom, and soulful presence, creating a tender space for emotional clarity, connection, and inner transformation. Her artisanal, seed-to-cup cacao deepens the journey with intention and ancestral reverence.
Movement • Embodiment • Ritual Practice
A weaving of breath, somatic movement, sound, dance, yoga, and earth-based ritual — reconnecting you with your body’s wisdom and the rhythm of the land. Each practice meets you where you are and gently opens the pathways for presence, grounding, and inner clarity. You’ll carry these teachings forward, learning to integrate them into your daily life long after you return home.
